It's Wedding Season!

I'm so lucky that I've gotten to work with some stunning brides over the past two months along with one of my best friends Sunny of Themba Imagery. Together, we make a pretty amazing team! I wanted to share some portraits of the brides now that they're  all shacked up :)

Porter Garner Imprinted Image Photography

Last weekend I had the pleasure of working with established local photographer Porter Garner. I was very impressed with his work and had been interested in working with him for a while. The images turned out great, better than I would have thought! Dawn dyed her hair just a few hours before so the intense red popped like crazy in the photos. 

The entire team was great and I look forward to working with everyone again!

Julie & Artie

I had the pleasure of working with Julie, a lovely Bride-to-be her engagement session with Sunny of Themba Imagery. I truly enjoyed working with Julie because she was sweet, down to earth, and I'm thrilled to be doing her makeup on her big day as well! Julie and Artie are both so photogenic, I know they won't look anything less than stunning on their Wedding Day.

Courtney Love Inspired Shoot

I had the pleasure of working with the very talented photographer Marie Killen of Marie Killen Photography a few weeks ago along with one of my good friends from college Anna Hassell. I had such a great time working with these ladies, I look forward to teaming up again in the future!

Stella Graham

My managers two year old daughter Stella is a wonderful ball of energy that had me on my toes the entire shoot! I told Toni that she definitely has her work cut out for in her teenage years, ha! Here are some of my favorites of her from the shoot:

Blair & Keith

I was contacted by my Photography partner in crime Sunny of Themba Imagery to do makeup for an engagement portrait session for a chic bride to bride to be. Blair didn't have any stipulations about her makeup, she just wanted to it to be natural while playing up her eyes. I enjoyed working with her and Keith because they seemed like a such a laid back and fun loving couple. 

Austin & Chris

In the beginning of September, I had the pleasure of doing makeup for a lovely bride that I've know since college. Both of them are amazingly talented, Chris is a photographer, Austin a writer and both are getting their Masters at that! The feel of the wedding was nothing short of southern and sweet. The wedding felt like a Winthrop reunion because I was able to catch up with people that I haven't since Graduation. Photography was done by friend and fellow Winthrop Alum Dustin Shores and the photos are just stunning! 

It's Almost Vacation Time!!!

This time next week I'll be in NYC with one of my best friends and fellow Makeup Artist Subreen Davis! Expect a post filled with makeup, clothing finds, and random night out photos. I'm even bringing my Holga to get some film photos as well. I haven't worked with film since College so I'm really looking forward to that endeavor. I'm SO excited, I haven't been to NYC since last July and that was for work! We'll be there August 26th-29th. Bring on the drinks and the abundance of good looking men ;-)

Sarah

I had the pleasure about a month ago working with the sweetest bride doing makeup for her Bridal Portraits. She was so pleased with her look that I'll be doing it on her Wedding day this Saturday and she's actually coming into the store the day off so that I can airbrush her with our fabulous TEMPTU Airbrush System.  We've been e-mailing back and fourth over the past few weeks and she's giving me a copy all of the photos and will send me some from the Wedding when she finally gets those back. Truly a doll! And beautiful! She sent me the portrait that will be on display at the Wedding:

She said she has bad allergies so in the closer shots her eyes were puffy. I can definitely relate, I'm a walking allergy.

Yasmine's Graduation Party at Petra's

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting my Aunt's co-workers daughter Graduation Party at Petra's in Charlotte, NC. Yasmine graduated from Fayetteville State University with a degree in Elementary Education. The gathering consisted of mainly family and friends, a slideshow from childhood through college, catering with a Chef who works at Justin's in Atlanta, Georgia, and emotional family speeches.  It was lovely and I'm glad that I was able to capture this important day for Yasmine and her family. 

Ruby

I've know Ruby since High School and she's always had an amazing voice. She's an upcoming R&B/ Jazz artist from Charlotte, North Carolina so we did an urban pin-up inspired photoshoot that she could use in her promotions next year.
